Lawsuit seeks compliance from state prisons with HALT Act
(WIVB) — Supporters of the HALT Act, which set restrictions on how long inmates invest in solitary confinement in jails and prisons, aren’t precisely celebrating the one-year anniversary. Rather, they are litigating a class action lawsuit from the condition Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
